Fitting a Cover to the pool

EASY TO INSTALL

STEP 1. Measure

Simply measure the width and length of your pool. Ensure you measure the widest and longest point to ensure complete, edge to edge coverage. (See Figures 1 and 2).

STEP 2. Place on pool

Once you receive your Sunline Pool Cover, place it on the pool. Check the weather to ensure a calm, wind-free day. Cover the pool edge to edge and allow the blanket to settle for 2-3 hours.

STEP 3. Cut to size

Using sharp scissors, trim the excess from the Sunline Pool Cover. Trim carefully around all sides and edges to ensure the blanket touches each edge when sitting on the pool. This prevents leaves, dirt and debris from making their way into the pool while covered. (See Figure 3)

OTHER NOTES

Cutting to Fit. Bubble Cover style, You may cut the cover back to the waterline, however best to wait two to three weeks after the initial cut, it will shrink a little – shrinks more along the length than the width.

Skimmer Box  Cut two vertical slits in the cover upturn, either side of your skimmer box, and fold the flap you have created into the skimmer box, therefore allowing you to hose debris off the top of the cover into the skimmer box. Your cover is delivered with an ample margin for trim.

Ladders and Fixtures. Sometimes it is best to let the cover just sit up around fixtures so that the cover does not catch when starting to roll up.  Try it, cut if you need to.

Step and Spa attached areas. Fold the cover into the main pool before rolling up. You can fit a “haul cord” via a fitted eyelet. (eyelet kits and haul  cords can be purchased as accessories).
